We made it to Walla Walla! A big thanks to the Karns family for hosting us. Lillian Rose was an amazing hostess. She showed us our room and a tour of the house. She even left m&ms on our pillow and a granola bar. We were not to fight over them! Sharing is caring! She loved meeting her cousin Becky and her cousin's friend. Lillian even gave thanks for seeing us in our dinner grace. Her little sister Addie was so beautiful. We were so lucky to spend some time with them. Lillian even gave us some advice to use in our classrooms. We need to make math a little more challenging!
Nothing like seeing things through a child's eyes! After a nice lounge on the hammock we had a sleepover party with Lillian. Rebecca even put on a shadow puppet show for her. Lillian taught us a few songs and we all finally fell asleep in a nice dry environment.
We slept in late today taking in the comfort of a mattress as we aren't sure when we will see one again! But hey,we dried out our tent so it's ready for us again!
We took a nice little stroll to the park and played on the playground. It was a cute throw back to our days in peconic. Jeanne even showed off her monkey bar skills. Lillian didn't want us to leave and kept distracting Rebecca with games. Yes, Rebecca knows how to play well with six year olds. Lillian even got a manicure from Rebecca
We learned so much from Lillian !
It's so nice to have family that is so loving.
Thank you to Marie for the home made rice Krispy treats. They were very much enjoyed in the car. Now we are off to the very north of Washington. Ready to see the grizzly. Although ranger Tom was impressed we had a pocket knife he did warn us it wouldn't do any good for killing one. Maybe we aren't prepared for a grizzly!
