So today we took our sun burn backsides to HOLLYWOOD. Our lovely host Andrea drove us to the most beautiful observatory to see the sign. Yes, the sign! The big old HOLLYWOOD sign! Us and a bunch of Asians. Only Andrea would know that the cast of 90210 spray painted class of 1993 on the sign. She rocks at tv trivia. The drive there was well worth it. We felt like officials tourists!
Next stop Venice beach! What a blast! So many different characters! Hip and artsy ,so much fun! We couldn't believe the "green" doctors that were on every corner! The highlight of the trip to Venice was the special whistle that Rebecca bought. She needed the help of Jeanne to show her how to use her tongue and make a certain shape of her mouth to get it to work. It was a very difficult art form that needed plenty of practice. By the time we got to the car the whistle was banished for the rest of the trip. She finally was able to get a noise out of it after sitting in traffic on ... The freeway ( shocker)for a very long time. The whistle was also banished from la casa de David and Andrea because cat#1 and cat #2 were "scared". Haha. Needless to say when Andrea is at work tomorrow we will be calling the house and whistling to those cats on the answer machine.
Back at la casa David gave us some tips and pointers for our camping adventure. Tomorrow we are going to head to Yosemite for our first camping experience. David told us about the bear lockers to put our food in and gave us other survival tips. We are so glad he told us to bring our own toilet paper. We are well prepared for our camping trip.
So we are heading to bed tonight and we thank Dave and Andrea for being wonderful hosts. We realize how patient David is! Not for dealing with Andrea, but rather Rebecca and her fifty questions! We love you guys! Remember Dave, next time Andrea gives you that look tell her to meditate!
Stay tuned for our nature blogs... By the way can we get manis and pedis in Yosemite national park?
